Shrinefest 2010

Shootout for Shrinefest is an opportunity for local talent to compete for a chance to open up Shrinefest.  Bands submit their Bio/Demo to the Shrinefest committee for review.  Out of all the submissions 5 of the bands are chosen to Shootout for Shrinefest.  The bands get 45 minutes to show what they have.  They are then voted on and the winner opens the day at Shrinefest 2009!

The Shootout will be held at the NEW Shrine stage.  It will be located at the corner of Hatton and McKinney RD at the Shrine Arena.  It will be a great day of fun and everyone should come out and join us.  There will be food vendors, drink specials, silent auction etc..

Chris Clerihew & The West Coast Turnarounds

Chris Clerihew & The West Coast Turnarounds was formed in late 2008 with the remains of a few other bands to make a frankenstein country group. CC&WCT is influenced by artists such as The Gourds, Wilco, James McMurtry, Savoy Brown, and Rodney Parker & The 50 Peso Reward. Their style of music has been described as "Hillbilly Acid Rock". They are an energetic group with a great stage presence and can't wait for the next gig. Band members include Chris Clerihew on lead vocal of Vernon, Mike Eavenson on lead guitar of Lake Kemp, Lee Hammonds on drums of Crowell ,and Rick Hammonds on bass of Crowell. Winning the Shootout for Shrinefest and getting the chance to play at Shrinefest is a very big step for these guys and they are excited to share the stage with such big Texas Country artists.
